[high and low]

when school nearly finished. I felt high.
but near the last section of the pulau tekong trip, I felt depressed again.
coming back to school was so so sad.

I could not face the idea of eating hostel food after a long hard day. Hence, I went out for dinner, ALONE. What a loser! Went to a small Jap food restaurant and SURPRISE, i got a $3 side-dish, ON THE HOUSE. HA ha, obviously they offer free side-dish to students in uniform. That's cute. So even though I ordered Sukiyaki only, I got a free dish. I felt like I had my CONSUMER's SURPLUS.

I reached the hostel. How depressing! Realised that I missed a lot in choir today. Lately, I have been missing a lot from choir. Maybe this is why these few days I'm so depressed, discontented and always think that everyone is mad at me and want to kill me. GOSH. Without choir for a week, I think I lost my balance.

The Pulau Tekong trip was both interesting and damn boring. Got a chance to see how Singaporean guys do NS. I must say that this NS thing benefits a lot. Sounds Dorky but true! All the training, neatness, discipline, everyone is forced to be a MAN. That's really cool. But the bad part about the trip is the travelling time. So bloody long and boring. I listened to Corrinne May's songs during the trip, which made it less painfully boring. And the last presenter of the trip is pathetically dull, he spoilt the mood of the whole trip.

Tomorrow is Teacher's day. I have no time to prepare anything for any of them. I'm such a lousy student.

Lousy study. Lousy health. Uncharismatic. Too quiet. Vocal strength not powerful enough.

And I can't find anything good about myself.

Ha ha. Things have gone bad this year. But what to do, just have to PERSEVERE ON. I guess.

I've lost my trust in God. I think i'll join CF meetings from now on. I don't want to lose my faith.

[corrinne may]

I never expect to snap back to reality from a series of crazy things happening in my head.

But you know what got me back on track?

Corrinne May's songs.

Listening to her songs, it's impossible to hold any grudge against the world and yourself.
And as the tunes flow, I realised what a monster I've become the past few day.

The more I read her blog. The more I'm stripped off all my hatred and anger, leaving only the calmness and a reflective mind.

Corrinne May's song is somehow so personal, and yet somehow can be identified with by everyone. Her songs are not about the soothing tune, the arrangement; but the story, the message and the mere goodness that emanates from it.

Some interesting facts about Corrinne May:
Corrinne studied in Raffles Girls' Primary School, Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) and Raffles Junior College. She later majored in mass communications and English literature at the National University of Singapore. Corrinne left Singapore to further her music education at the Berklee College of Music, where she majored in songwriting and film scoring. In order to pursue her dreams in music, she moved to Los Angeles in 1999.
And she was in RJ choir too.

[today]

OH GOSH.

The combined ACS national day celebration is boring beyond all measures.

I was hot. I was melting. I was stoning until I became a rock. Thank God my house T-shirt is white.

There was no attendance check.>.<

I should have stayed home.

Fun things:
saw my vietnamese classmate in ACS International. She looked so ^.^
the big ball game is really cute
the acjc student councillors are really cool. it's quite bad that their cheers were not well reciprocated.

any big ppl in the praying team or the speech thingy realise that ACS has girls too? Why they keep saying "boys" and "Gentleman" crap when there are so many girls around.

Hopeless. Really Hopeless.

------------------------

After that, I went to City Hall to buy a CD and had my lunch at Uma Uma Men, a Jap food place. There was a pretty lady customer at a nearby table kept saying "There are so many Don here, Ten Don, Chicken Katsu Don,..." and she kept repeating that for nearly 5 minutes.

I'm quite amused.

The food was ok. But my throat sored after two hours. Don't know why.

Yesterday, our Project Work group put up a mock showcase of our project during the PW period in LT 3. Here are some of the photos:

[birthday]

today is my birthday.

I'm eighteen.

^.^

Thanks everyone for your SMSs, gifts, sweets, cards, personalized photo, cakes, tissue papers, pins, plastic bag, knife, happy birthday song, your noisy"ness" ... THANK YOU.

You've made this 18th birthday of mine a really memorable one.

THANK YOU MOM, MA and the 2 of you who have made this birthday the noisiest birthday I've ever had (";)

and i love you SC4 =]

This birthday is SO MUCH MORE THAN I EXPECTED;

----------------------------------

Choir part:

firstly happy birthday to Stef. we are born on the same day, haha. though one year apart.

on a more serious note. Choir rehearsal today told me a lot of things about myself. I need to trust MYSELF more. I shall not elaborate on this but will keep everything to my own reflections. Our batch must persevere more, and become real friends, not just acquaintances. This is the only way that we can really call ourselves ACJC choiristers.

And I really miss the senior standing on my left. Though we do not talk much, he has been always there. Now he is not there, it just feel ... I don't know how to express.

Must work harder from now on for music, the one thing that is worthy of pursuing in my life.
