Praying
There's something wrong with my Dad nowadays.
He's moodier. Very quick to get angry. He can go from happy to angry in a second, or maybe half of that. He has strange reasoning, it's like he can't think logically. He is suddenly super worried about his high blood pressure, a condition he has been living with for years.
Two days ago, I had to use a knife to cut my wrist (only shallow, not too deep, I still love my life) in front of my parents to stop dad from arguing with mom. And yes, my scheme was successful. And yes, there are still scars on my wrist. And no, I did not die. I don't want to pull this act again. Never ever. I hope so.
And just now, at 10 pm. Dad decided to brew garlic juice. Yah, that's right, garlic juice!!! Because he read on some Vietnamese website that it will lower high blood pressure. WTF right? I know! After 5 mins of brewing, the smell of his 'potion' filled the whole house and I vomited. Mom could not sleep either. I took my sleeping bag and went to my car to sleep there for a while, which I couldn't, cos there was no way to breath in the car, and I couldn't roll down the windows cos it was trickling down rain. And with my car leather seat, I didn't want them to get wet.
Everything is fine now. Cos the smell is gone and my parents all went to sleep.
I'm tired. But I hope my Dad will get out of his mid-life crisis soon. I don't know my feelings for my Dad but I do care about him and most of all, I really care about my Mom and I don't want him to make her sad.
Praying.

My new book and my new face
Why new face? One might wonder.
Well, I've been down with chicken pox since 26 december 2009. And chicken pox = long-term scars on face. I don't want to use the word "permanent" because the facial scars are supposed to go away in 1 year or even more than that. I don't know. I hope it will go away soon. I look like a diseased person. That sucks! But I can deal with my ugly face. I'm not even cute to begin with. Urgh! Stupid viral infection. Lucky me I'm on my winter break so I can rest at home without worrying about school.
And I've just been featured on the Dean's List in my college. Yay! It's only a community college but this is the first time I've ever been on a the Dean's list. I don't really know what that means but that's exciting don't you think!
I need to write more. I think my writing skill has deteriorated. (Yay! I spelled "deteriorated" correctly!)
About the new book part. Since I've been down with chicken pox. I have A LOT OF TIME checking out tv shows and youtube stuff. And I came across Kathy Griffin. Gosh. She's so hilarious! So honest to the point of being naked. She fears no bitch, not even God (Amen! I still worship you my Lord! Amen). I'm obsessed with her. I watched her reality show "My life on the D-List" - the entire 5 seasons in 5 days.
And now I've just got her book from Amazon. Here's a photo for you all (maybe just me, cos nobody read this blog anymore) to see. See my face? That's what I have to live with for the next one year, or worse, forever!
Bye!

Autonomy
That's what the Haitian Government need right now.
According to one.org, Haitian is owning a total debt of $890 million USD, from the World Bank, various countries, blah blah. The American government have forgiven the debt.
The thing is, no amount of money will be enough, no aid will be enough if Haiti doesn't have a caring and strategic government. There's virtually no planning, no rescue, no control from the Haitian government. Where the fck are they? What have the government spent all those money on?
The world can help but if the government doesn't know how to help its own people, there will be so much chaos. If US jump in and take the lead, I don't think other countries will be so please. Plus, America is already preoccupied with its war in Iraq and the crumbling economy and the health care conundrum.
My point is, I hope Haiti will have the leadership it needs soon.
May God bless the people of Haiti!

Haiti
I'm really sad about the news on Haiti. The images and the stories from that country are just heartbreaking. I know there have been many catastrophes before this one but this is the first time I have access to many news coverage on that matter and see and horrific sights and sounds from Haiti.
What upset me is the lack of ambulances, digging machines (my vocab is bad), police cars or any sight of a rescue mission from the authority. All I can see is residents trying to dig through the rubble themselves.
Argh! It's just so heartbreaking!
-sigh-

Kara Dioguardi
Did I spell her name right? Well, I don't really care!
She's incredibly boring and politically correct. I can't believe they let Paula go and keep her.
Bring me back PAULA!

Jimmy Kimmel, Ben Affleck
HAHAHAHAHHA!
The reason I even watched this thing is because Josh Groban was in it! I really haven't heard of this before. I have heard about Silverman Matt Damon thing but I have no idea about Jimmmy Kimmel's revenge until I see this!

This is what "Kathleen" said about Clay Aiken's dog:
"This dog is so gay it's not even a dog. It's a fog!"

Lady Gaga
In "Just Dance", there are these lines:
"Half psychotic sick hypnotic got my blueprint it's symphonic
Half psychotic sick hypnotic got my blueprint it's electronic"
I don't even know what that means!
And how did she come up with THAT?
Hmm. Thought for the day! HAH

A dream last night
Merry Christmas everyone!
Blogging used to give me so much joy. I don't know what happened. I just drifted away!
Last night, I dreamed a dream in which I was Harry Potter. A pretty ugly version of Harry Potter. I was in some deep sh*t, as I was about to go into a battle, I woke up. Hah. Don't know how it ended.
Anyway, it was great to have magical power!

I had a holiday
It's been a while since I last blogged.
If you are still reading this blog, thank you for being such a faithful friend =]
Anyway, I spent my Wednesday/holiday assembled my Billy Bookcase from Ikea and tidied up my room.
I did a good job on the Bookcase part, but not on the tidying up part.
My bookcase is awesome, it's a limited edition celebrating Ikea something 25 years or so, I can't remember. Anyway, it has cool doodles with some Shakespeare's quote on it, one of which was the beginning line of "Twelfth Night" - "If music be the food of love, play on". And it's 10 bucks cheaper than the regular, boring edition of solid colors. Strange huh, limited edition being cheaper than regular edition and all.
I love Ikea. It's my drug. The lighting, the showroom, the furniture, the decor, everything. They give me a sense of belonging. When I touch their products, I feel life, I feel home, I feel something tangible and solid and inexplicably familiar.
Oh yah, on the day I came, they had a $1 meal deal, which usually runs for 5 bucks. So I had an entire lunch/dinner for only 2 bucks. Hell yeah!
I plan to go to Los Angeles at the end of the year. I hope my friends will be there. If not I will have to tour Los Angeles on my own. I hope somebody will accompany me. It's not fun backpacking alone. For now, I have to save money.
What I have to do in the meantime: 2 extra credit reports, 1 music report. Not too bad.
Study. Work. Entertainment. Food. Family. Music.
That's enough for me, for now. I'm thankful!

Anyway, I must work harder, study harder, and always find things to make myself busy!
Life's been good so far!
